Boxing Day 2017,  a cold but bright day, saw 7 turnouts taking part in the usual parade in Newport town centre followed by a drive out to the Lamb at Edgmond.   Those taking part were Russell and Pat Hand with a coloured pair, Tony and Carol Gregory with their pair of Hackneys, Andrew Virgo and Gillian Wild with a pair of cobs, Felicity Stubbs and Avril Pluck with Amber, Marc Jerram with a cob and Sue Cole and Frank Bullock with Sam the Man.   The Mince Pie trophy was awarded to Tony and Carol and the John ‘Stevo’ Steventon Memorial Award to Sue, Frank and Sam.

After returning to Newport we warmed up with soup and chips in the Barley. The raffle and auction of a hamper raised £123 which was donated to the Air Ambulance.
