On Sunday 13th September Felicity and Philip Stubbs kindly hosted a drive from Birch Tree Farm, Knightley. Bryony and Mike Cowie and Felicity drove Red on an 8 mile route while Sue Cole, Judie Hilditch and Sam the Man took the 6 mile option with both routes through quiet and pleasant country lanes. There was a lot more pedestrian activity than usual as the Woodseaves Scarecrow Competition was being judged so we met many family groups walking around the village inspecting a very imaginative selection of scarecrows – something different for the horses to look at! On returning to the farm we all spent a very pleasant afternoon having a picnic lunch and generally putting the world to rights. Many thanks to Felicity and Philip for their hospitality.
